Afrocinema 2 2021 – Sembene!

An award-winning documentary that traces the life and work of Ousmane Sembène, who is considered the father of African Cinema.
Sembène, who started as a port-worker on the coast of Senegal, became one of the most influential directors and personalities in the history of cinema.

We will meet on Wednesday, December 1st at 18:45. We will start with a Hanukkah celebration (there will be Sufganiyut), followed by a talk and screening of the film

The screening will take place in Building 74, Room 109. Admission is free, but pre-registration is required
